The Park Savoy Wedding of Lauren and Peter

The NJ Wedding Videography Highlights from Lauren and Peter’s day at The Park Savoy:

Lauren and Peter are such a sweet couple. They met years ago at a party. I LOVE the way the maid of honor tells the story in her speech (as you can see in the trailer below). Thankfully they got 2 camera coverage for their epic day, so we could really bring our A game. I started with Laren and the girls at her Parent’s house in Staten Island, while Dave was with Peter and the guys at their place. We all met up for a really lovely ceremony at our Lady of Star of the Sea Church. Then it was off to Florham Park NJ for some fun portraits and an awesome reception at The Park Savoy.

The couple was introduced in style as Peter danced his way in with Lauren in tow. The first dance was enhanced with a beautiful cloud around the couple on the dance floor. Very dreamy. The toasts were really hilarious and as always so great to have those guest reactions when the 2nd shooter can go around the room capturing them. After all the formalities it was party time, and the guests did NOT disappoint. Everyone had a blast, and our couple danced into the night with all their guests. Congrats to this really happy and fun loving couple.

You can also watch their awesome Wedding Trailer, which we posted online a couple of weeks after the big day:

***Update. Lauren and Peter welcomed a beautiful baby girl in 2016. Congrats again guys on a happy life together!!

Wedding Trailers

There’s an art to creating a captivating and emotional trailer for a wedding. They’re fun, they’re short, and they’re online pretty quickly after the wedding. So if you are someone who does not like waiting, a trailer is for you. Start sharing one within 2-3 weeks of the wedding. If you’re REALLY impatient though you might want to consider a Same Day Edit! 😉

You may ask what’s the difference between a Wedding Trailer, and a Wedding Highlights. Well, for one, a trailer is shorter, but also it can be a little more abstract, and doesn’t have to include those major moments like vows, etc. You just want to capture the feel of the day, the excitement, and mostly the emotion. It’s just a preview of the finished video to come.

The Grove Wedding of Meryam and Michael

Meryam and Michael came in to meet with us along with their friends Monica and Mark. They were planning Coptic Weddings, which is Egyptian Orthodox Christian weddings, and both getting married at St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in East Brunswick NJ. We had done a coptic wedding there a few years earlier, so we had some experience at that church, and I was able to share a sample.

Meryam and Michael were going to see each other before hand at a Park in New Brusnwick for some great couple and bridal party shots, but first I started with Meryam and her girls, while Dave was with Michael and the guys. Her mom was so sweet, and Meryam definitely inherited that. She’s a sweetheart, and was smiling throughout the whole makeup process. The guys were just hanging out, and Michael talked about how he knew everyone, and his love for Meryam.

Then we met up for some wedding party shots at Boyd Park on Rt 18 in New Brunswick, before heading over to St. Mary’s for the Coptic ceremony. Michael was worried about his resting face being a little serious, but we got some great shots of the 2 of them along with all the guests through the ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed over to The Grove for an awesome reception. The cocktail hour at this place is insane, and the couple peaked out from their balcony for a moment to some cheering. Then the party started with some fun introductions, and a beautiful first dance and parent dances. After toasts the rest of the night was just partying. We did a Same Day Highlights just as we did for Monica and Mark, which came out pretty awesome. Your personal Soundtrack is going to make the big difference in how things feel, so it’s important to choose a great song. It was a beautiful day for a sweet couple.

The Westmount Country Club Wedding of Monica and Mark

Monica and Mark came in to meet with us along with their friends Meryam and Michael. They were planning Coptic Weddings, which is Egyptian Orthodox Christian weddings, and both getting married at St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in East Brunswick NJ. We had done a coptic wedding there a few years earlier, so we had some experience at that church. I remember a lot of chanting, and also having to remove our shoes to go behind the alter for some beautiful shots of them throughout the ceremony.

Monica and Mark were going to see each other before hand at Princeton University for some great couple and bridal party shots, but first I started with Monica and her girls, while Dave was with Mark and the guys. I loved seeing her dad writing a speech, which we unfortunately never heard, but he was deep in thought about his daughter. The girls were having fun getting made up, and the hair was serious business. The guys were pretty much partying from the morning, with a little living room dancing, and having fun before getting dressed.

Then we met up at Princeton for some wedding party shots, before heading over to St. Mary’s for the Coptic ceremony. It’s a long ceremony, but that gives us plenty of opportunity to move around to get some guests, some of the chorus, some of the bridal party, etc, plus of course the bride and groom during their most important moments. They don’t say anything for the ceremony, but receive several blessings, and wear special garments and crowns to be married.

After the ceremony it was off to the Westmount Country club where we received a royal greeting by Trumpeters. The cocktail hour at this place is fantastic, and I do love the modern lobby and the rooms, which they update pretty regularly. They were announced into the reception by the Trumpeters, and then had a choreographed dance with the Bridal Party. After some sweet toasts the rest of the night was dance dance dance, but also they did have a caricature artist there drawing fun photos of guests, plus the couple at the end of the night. It was an amazing day for a very happy couple!
