Wedding Trailers

There’s an art to creating a captivating and emotional trailer for a wedding. They’re fun, they’re short, and they’re online pretty quickly after the wedding. So if you are someone who does not like waiting, a trailer is for you. Start sharing one within 2-3 weeks of the wedding. If you’re REALLY impatient though you might want to consider a Same Day Edit! 😉

You may ask what’s the difference between a Wedding Trailer, and a Wedding Highlights. Well, for one, a trailer is shorter, but also it can be a little more abstract, and doesn’t have to include those major moments like vows, etc. You just want to capture the feel of the day, the excitement, and mostly the emotion. It’s just a preview of the finished video to come.

The Westmount Country Club Wedding of Monica and Mark

Monica and Mark came in to meet with us along with their friends Meryam and Michael. They were planning Coptic Weddings, which is Egyptian Orthodox Christian weddings, and both getting married at St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in East Brunswick NJ. We had done a coptic wedding there a few years earlier, so we had some experience at that church. I remember a lot of chanting, and also having to remove our shoes to go behind the alter for some beautiful shots of them throughout the ceremony.

Monica and Mark were going to see each other before hand at Princeton University for some great couple and bridal party shots, but first I started with Monica and her girls, while Dave was with Mark and the guys. I loved seeing her dad writing a speech, which we unfortunately never heard, but he was deep in thought about his daughter. The girls were having fun getting made up, and the hair was serious business. The guys were pretty much partying from the morning, with a little living room dancing, and having fun before getting dressed.

Then we met up at Princeton for some wedding party shots, before heading over to St. Mary’s for the Coptic ceremony. It’s a long ceremony, but that gives us plenty of opportunity to move around to get some guests, some of the chorus, some of the bridal party, etc, plus of course the bride and groom during their most important moments. They don’t say anything for the ceremony, but receive several blessings, and wear special garments and crowns to be married.

After the ceremony it was off to the Westmount Country club where we received a royal greeting by Trumpeters. The cocktail hour at this place is fantastic, and I do love the modern lobby and the rooms, which they update pretty regularly. They were announced into the reception by the Trumpeters, and then had a choreographed dance with the Bridal Party. After some sweet toasts the rest of the night was dance dance dance, but also they did have a caricature artist there drawing fun photos of guests, plus the couple at the end of the night. It was an amazing day for a very happy couple!

The Westmount Country Club Wedding of Katherina and Giovanni

Katherina and Giovanni’s beautiful and fun wedding started with coverage as the each got ready at their parent’s homes. Steven and I were with Katherina and the girls, while German and Pete were with Giovanni and the guys. It was a brisk January day with snow on the ground, and excitement in the air. The girls proved to be just as fun as the guys while grabbing some group shots before the ceremony. The ceremony was at Sacred Heart in Lyndhurst NJ and featured some Filipino wedding traditions such as the coins, the cord and the veil. Afterwards we made a quick stop at the beautiful home these two built, and then it was off to the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park NJ for some fun bridal party pics and an awesome reception. I loved this couple from the moment I met them. So full of energy and happiness, and just the sweetest people. We wish you both a lifetime of love and laughter.

The Westmount Country Club Wedding of Kristen and Adam

Kristen and Adam were married on location at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ. We started with Kristen who dressed at her parent’s home, then we caught up with the guys at the Westmount CC. They met in the east wing, and then took photos out back. While it was a winter wedding, the weather wasn’t too bad, and we captured a lot of great footage. The ceremony was followed by the delicious Westmount CC cocktail hour, and then a fun reception. By the end of the night let’s just say the couple was a little giggly, haha. Check out their highlights below:

Corinne and Michael at Westmount Country Club

Corinne and Michael’s booked us for videography AND photography for their March 2010 wedding, and so the crew was all together for their wonderful day. We started at the Hampton Inn Suites in Fairfield with the girls and the guys. James and I stepped out into the garden through the room windows, for some great shots of the rings. We love our details, and don’t mind maneuvering in bushes to get great shots, haha.

Then it was off to St. Philip the Apostle Church in Clifton where the couple had a great ceremony, just temporarily interrupted by a poor dehydrated groomsmen passing out. I grabbed him some water while Dave gave him some candy, hey, no way we were going to be filming at that moment. Kind of a crazy moment, but luckily he was ok. Everything back to normal the ceremony went on followed by an awesome reception at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ. Congrats again guys for a beautiful day.
